Introductory Courses

MIM I C

19th MIM Introductory Course

The MIM program is offering a three-days course, which will introduce MIM PhD students to the research performed by members of the program. MIM members will introduce their fields of expertise, basic research questions, methodologies applied to answer them and instrumental infrastructure available at their laboratories. You will become acquainted with the research performed at the different microbiological laboratories in Zurich, and will be able to establish ties with those labs that could contribute to their own research work. As a student of the MIM program you will be given the opportunity to present your own research project in a short presentation.

The course is a mandatory requirement for PhD students of the MIM program who have not already participated in an earlier year. They will receive 1 credit point each for presenting their own project and participating in all sessions, introducing speakers, leading discussions, and participating at the events.

Next Introductory Course will take place January 20-22, 2025 at ETH Hönggerberg.
